ABSTRACT:
These data describe the amount and distribution of coarse woody debris on the valley floor of the mainstem of Lookout Creek and characterizing it in relation to river morphology. Data include the number, volume, location, orientation, decay class, and pool formation roles of large wood debris pieces. River morphology is characterized by cross-section data (sampled every 100 m) and in sketch map in the Nakamura and Swanson (1994) publication. This was a one-time sample in 1991 employing simple tape and compass field techniques (Nakamura and Swanson 1994). Data tables cover 1. wood piece measurements (diameter, length, location, decay class) and 2. channel geometry measurements.
