Site History:
Beautiful forest of single-storied mountain hemlock (plus silver fir and noble fir) with an open understory of beargrass and some silver fir, just west of the summit of Lookout Mountain. Plot 1 has a 12 degree slope, open understory, ABAM regen, with XETE and VAME dominant in understory. Many trees with broken tops due to wind exposure. Armillaria also present. Plot 4 has a 40 degree slope and a large linear gap running through middle of plot and few or no trees with broken tops (more sheltered).
