Vegetation:

CANOPY: High/low mix, sparse forest, DISCONTINUOUS CANOPY TYPE; mostly closed, with two significant open areas. SURFACE: Soft forest floor, thick low ferns and shrubs, amongst fallen tree trunks.

Climate:

In sparse forest of mixed-aged trees. Near total attenuation of direct radiation from Oct. through Feb. In summer, direct radiation just after midday for 2-3 hours.
