Description:
DH00201: Historic salvage timber sales in the H J Andrews from 1954 - 1974 were outlined on a variety of hard copy maps. These manuscripts were digitized into four non-overlapping coverages. Each coverage was turned into a region and the UNION command was used to combine the data into a single coverage of salvage sale regions. The road layer was buffered by 50 yards (45.72 meters).
SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION:
This coverage is of salvage sale boundaries - no estimate for the extent of harvest is included. These areas were not clear-cut and in some instances very few trees were salvaged. More recent salvage activity has not been captured digitally.
